how to make Kratom Tincture?

Many Kratom tincture enthusiasts are struggling to find reliable vendors for kratom tinctures, due to the FDA's strict adherence to restricting the vending of Kratom products. Due to this, many people buy low-quality Kratom products and pay even higher prices later. Luckily, the Kratom tinctures can be processed at home.

We'll start with the very basics and then comprehensively cover how to make Kratom tincture at home.

Let's dive right in!

What is Kratom Tincture?

The liquid form of Kratom plant extracts is known as Kratom tincture. The Kratom tincture is a mixture of kratom extracts and ethanol. Ethanol is commonly known as a common alcohol.

There are two types of Kratom Tinctures:

  1. Full Spectrum Kratom Tinctures - Full spectrum Kratom Tinctures contain all the alkaloids in the Kratom Extract. Producing full-spectrum Kratom tincture is a relatively simple process.
  2. Isolated Kratom Tinctures - Isolated Kratom tinctures contain isolated or specific alkaloids. These alkaloids can be mitragynine or  ‌ 7-hydroxy mitragynine.‌ Making Isolated Kratom tinctures is a tedious process, but it's possible. Be cautious, your family members may complain about turning the home into a chemistry lab.

The Difference Between Full Spectrum Kratom and Isolated Kratom

Refer to the table below to learn about the complete differences between the full spectrum Kratom and isolated Kratom.

Sr. No.

Full Spectrum Kratom Tincture

Isolated Kratom Tincture

The full spectrum Kratom contains all the alkaloids of kratom extracts in tincture.

The isolated Kratom tincture contains only the desired alkaloids.

The manufacturing process of full-spectrum Kratom is relatively simpler than that of Isolated Kratom tincture.

The making of isolated Kratom tincture is a long and complicated process.

The effects of full-spectrum may not provide the desired result.

The results of isolated Kratom tinctures are spot on. As they only contain alkaloids that are desired.

The Kratom Tincture Vs. Kratom Powder

Now let's take a look at the differences between Kratom tincture and Kratom powder.

Sr. No.

Kratom Tincture

Kratom Powder

Kratom tincture is the liquid form of Kratom extracts.

Kratom powder is a solid form of Kratom extracts.

It can be made from kratom powder, Kratom leaf, Kratom capsules, and Kratom flowers.

It can be made from Kratom extracts.

Due to the presence of raw alkaloids, tincture is considered more potent than powdered form.

Kratom powder may contain impurities. Hence, the powdered form is considered less potent than the tincture form of Kratom.

The Tincture is quicker to show its effects, as the liquid form gets easily absorbed by the body.

It is slower to show its effects.

It is difficult to source tincture but it can be made at home.

It can be found easily but can be very difficult to make at home.

The Kratom Tincture Vs. Kratom Extracts

Kratom tincture is the liquid form of raw Kratom alkaloids. The extracts are various dried parts of the Kratom plant, these can be Kratom leaves and Kratom flowers. Here are some points that describe Kratom tincture and Kratom extracts

  • The Kratom tincture is highly concentrated with raw Kratom alkaloids. This is not the case with Kratom extracts as these are still in the natural form contained with other substances and compounds.
  • The Kratom tincture has a higher potency than Kratom extracts due to a higher concentration of alkaloids.
  • You can make Kratom tincture with the help of Kratom extracts.

Which Kratom Strains are the Best to Use?

Luckily, all available strains can be converted into tincture form, but the real question is which one of these strains is the best. The answer isn't that straightforward, as it's very subjective. Every regular consumer will have a different say in this. Being as objective as we could. Here is the list of the Kratom strains ranked from top to bottom.

  • Maeng Da Kratom
  • Bali Kratom
  • Yellow strain of Kratom
  • Red strain of Kratom
  • Green Strain of Kratom
  • Borneo Kratom
  • Malay Kratom
  • Thai Strain of Kratom

  • How to Make Kratom Tincture Form Kratom Powder? Step-by-step Process

    Ingredients You'll Need

    • High-quality Kratom Leaves or Powder
    • Tincture Bottle
    • PH Strips
    • Citric Acid
    • Ethanol
    • Resealable Glass Jar
    • Cheesecloth

    Step-by-Step Process

This recipe is for single serving only. If you want to make more than one serving. Double the amount of Kratom extracts or powder and ethanol accordingly.

    Step - 1

Take 110 grams of Kratom powder and 1 liter of ethanol and mix them well. If you have leaves or flowers, make sure you grind them well. The powdered form mixes well with ethanol.

    Step - 2

Once you are done with the first step, slowly add citric acid to the beaker or the container. Keep adding citric acid drop by drop until the PH number turns four. You can use PH strips to measure the PH number of the solution.

    Step - 3

Shake the mixture for at least 2 hours. The extraction process of Kratom alkaloids initiates. It will give you the highest quality of Kratom tincture. You don't have to shake it continuously for 2 hours. You can shake it for 10 minutes and take a break of a minute or two.

    Step - 4

Once you have shaken your tincture well, store it in a dark and cool place for at least two weeks. This step is crucial because sunlight or a hot and humid environment encourages the growth of bacteria and molds. For this reason, it is necessary to keep your tincture in an airtight container that is supposed to be kept in a cold, dark, and dry place.

    Step - 5

After two weeks, take out the container and mix it well by shaking it. You can mix it for an hour at intervals. Once you're done with mixing your tincture, open your container and cover it using cheesecloth, and then spill all the solution into another container.

Congratulations, your Kratom tincture is ready!
